WHO WOULD JESUS DATE? CHRISTIAN SINGLES CELEBRATE EASTER WITH THE LAUNCH OF 'THE MEETING PLACE' IN AN EFFORT TO FIND OUT
www.christianmatchmaker.co.nz launches Easter Monday giving Christian singles another reason to celebrate!

/Dating - Singles News Articles/ - WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND, March 20, 2008 - 'WWJD - What Would Jesus Do?' was a bit of a slogan for years in the Christian scene and it's a question still worth asking. But, for Christian singles I think WWJD also asks "Who Would Jesus Date?" and there's no simple answer to that one," says Tarsh the face of The Meeting Place.

The Meeting Place has been operating online at www.christianmatchmaker.co.nz for little over a month and officially launches as a paid member's only site on Easter Monday. While it is a Kiwi based site members have already joined from overseas and spread throughout the country reflecting a real diversity in Christian faith traditions and practises.

"While The Meeting Place is about Christian singles connecting and potentially finding marriage partners, it's also about much more than that. I hope it's a place where single Christians can find encouragement and opportunity to share in the journey with others who are walking a similar path. It's kind of building community and even though people are coming from such different backgrounds there's unity in our singleness."

Tarsh got involved in The Meeting Place after being approached by friends who launched the affiliated NZ Catholic Matchmaker site last year. It didn't take her long to agree as she realised it was an area she felt passionate about.

"I enjoy seeing people come together and like to think I have a bit of a sixth sense when it comes to good matches. But I also love being single and encouraging people in that journey too. So this kind of brings those things together for me. I'd also been reminded of my nephew's solution to my 'not married' status. He said "you've just gotta get out there" and he pointed to the door. I guess he could've been pointing to cyberspace.'"
